Hurricane Idalia has been upgraded to a CATEGORY 4 Hurricane with winds of 130 mph and a pressure of 940 mb. The NHC now forecasts that further intensification is anticipated before landfall. It is the ninth named storm and the fourth hurricane of the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season. It rapidly intensified from a tropical storm to a category 4 hurricane in less than 24 hours, reaching peak winds of 150 mph (240 km/h) on August 30th. It is expected to make landfall on the Florida Panhandle or Big Bend area on August 31st, bringing life-threatening storm surge, destructive winds, heavy rain, and flooding.

This was an insane chase!”. The video has been criticized by many viewers for being irresponsible, reckless, and disrespectful to the people affected by the storm.
